Lucknow . There has been a massive promotion for IAS officers in Uttar Pradesh. DPC meeting was held to give promotion and selection grade to 154 IAS. In this, agreement has been reached on all the names except four. It was agreed to make seven of the eight IAS officers of the year 2000 batch as Principal Secretaries.
Due to a departmental inquiry going on against an IAS, he was not considered. Due to similar investigation, no consensus was reached on promotion of three other IAS officers. In this, one officer has been suspended and investigation is going on against two others. The promotion will be effective from January 1. The names of eight IAS officers of the year 2000 batch were first considered in the DPC. After 25 years of continuous service, one is promoted from Secretary to Principal Secretary. This batch includes Saurabh Babu, Deepak Aggarwal, Amit Gupta, Manish Chauhan, Dhanlaxmi K, Ranjan Kumar, Anurag Yadav and Ranveer Prasad. Apart from one name, it was agreed to promote others. The proposal to make 40 officers of the year 2009 batch from special secretaries to secretaries was discussed. It includes Subhra Saxena, Lucknow DM Suryapal Gangwar, Aditi Singh, Dr. Rupesh Kumar, Anuj Kumar Jha and Director Khannan Mala Srivastava.

In the meeting, a proposal was made to give selection grade to 51 IAS officers of 2012 batch. Apart from discussing the proposal to give junior administrative pay scale to 38 IAS officers of 2016 batch, it was also agreed to give 6600 grade pay to 17 IAS officers of 2021 batch. Let us inform that the meeting of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) for the promotion of IAS officers was held at Lok Bhavan on Tuesday. The meeting was presided over by Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh.
