Bhopal Railway Division: Campaign run at Bhopal, Rani Kamalapati, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Guna, Bina, Itarsi, Harda, Vidisha, Narmadapuram stations.
1549 passengers traveling irregularly and without tickets were caught and a fine of Rs 866985/- was collected.
Under the able guidance of Divisional Railway Manager Mr. Devashish Tripathi and the direction of Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Mr. Saurabh Kataria, continuous efforts are being made by Bhopal Division to provide better facilities to the authorized passengers and increase the railway revenue.
In the same sequence, today on 19.12.2024, at nine stations of Bhopal division like Bhopal, Rani Kamlapati, Sant Hirdaram Nagar, Guna, Bina, Itarsi, Harda, Vidisha, Narmadapuram stations, from 06 am to 02 pm, Commerce Department Kilabandi ticket checking campaign was conducted with the help of 10 supervisors and 104 ticket checking staff. During this ticket checking campaign, which was conducted under the supervision of supervisory ticket checking staff, the exit route of the station was cordoned off, so that no passenger could go out of the station without checking.

During this Qila Bandi ticket checking campaign, tickets of passengers of a total of 153 trains traveling to and from the stations were checked. During the investigation, a total of 730 passengers traveling without tickets were caught, from whom Rs 468395/- was collected as fare/fine. A total of 806 passengers were found traveling with improper tickets, from whom Rs 396190/- was recovered as fine/fare. 13 passengers were found traveling with unbooked luggage and littering at the station, from whom Rs 2400/- were recovered as fine/fare and the passengers were advised to travel only with proper tickets and not to litter.
Thus, during this Qilabandhi ticket checking campaign run simultaneously at all nine stations, a total of 1549 cases of passengers found traveling without tickets, inappropriate tickets and unbooked luggage were detected, resulting in a total railway revenue of Rs 866985/-.
1. Bhopal Station
During this Qila Bandi ticket checking campaign, tickets of passengers of a total of 21 trains going to and from Bhopal station were checked. During the investigation, a total of 203 passengers traveling without tickets were caught, from whom Rs 137470/- was collected as fare/fine. A total of 161 passengers were found traveling with improper tickets, from whom Rs 81150/- was recovered as fine/fare and the passengers were advised to travel only with proper tickets and not to litter.
Thus, during this Qilabandi ticket checking campaign run at Bhopal station, a total of 364 cases of passengers found traveling without tickets, inappropriate tickets and unbooked luggage were detected, resulting in a total railway revenue of Rs 218620/-.
2. Itarsi Station
During this Qila Bandi ticket checking campaign, tickets of passengers of a total of 39 trains going to and from Itarsi station were checked. During the investigation, a total of 140 passengers traveling without tickets were caught, from whom Rs 105145/- was collected as fare/fine. A total of 212 passengers were found traveling with improper tickets, from whom Rs 106820/- was recovered as fine/fare. Apart from charging a fine of Rs 600/- from three passengers who were traveling with unbooked luggage and littering at the station, the passengers were advised to travel only with proper tickets and not to litter.
Thus, during this Qilabandi ticket checking campaign conducted at Itarsi station, a total of 355 cases of passengers found traveling without tickets, inappropriate tickets and unbooked luggage were detected, resulting in a total railway revenue of Rs 212565/-.
3. Rani Kamlapati Station
During this Qila Bandi ticket checking campaign, tickets of passengers of a total of 15 trains going to and from Rani Kamalapati station were checked. During the investigation, a total of 28 passengers traveling without tickets were caught, from whom Rs 10460/- was collected as fare/fine. A total of 7 passengers were found traveling with improper tickets, from whom Rs 3200/- was recovered as fine/fare. Apart from charging a fine of Rs 700/- from 4 passengers who were traveling with unbooked luggage and littering at the station, the passengers were advised to travel only with proper tickets and not to litter.
Thus, during this Qilabandi ticket checking campaign run at Rani Kamalapati station, a total of 39 cases of passengers found traveling without tickets, inappropriate tickets and carrying unbooked luggage were detected, resulting in a total railway revenue of Rs 14360/-.
4. Sant Hirdaram Nagar Station
During this Qila Bandi ticket checking campaign, tickets of passengers of a total of 11 trains going to and from Sant Hirdaram Nagar station were checked. During the investigation, a total of 47 passengers traveling without tickets were caught, from whom Rs 30850/- was collected as fare/fine. A total of 21 passengers were found traveling with improper tickets, from whom Rs 9950/- was recovered as fine/fare. Apart from charging a fine of Rs 600/- from three passengers who were traveling with unbooked luggage and littering at the station, the passengers were advised to travel only with proper tickets and not to litter.
Thus, during this Qilabandi ticket checking campaign run at Sant Hirdaram Nagar station, a total of 71 cases of passengers found traveling without tickets, inappropriate tickets and carrying unbooked luggage were detected, resulting in a total railway revenue of Rs 41400/-.
5. Guna Station
During this Kila Bandi ticket checking campaign, tickets of passengers of a total of 10 trains coming and going at Guna station were checked. During the investigation, a total of 46 passengers traveling without tickets were caught, from whom Rs 27405/- was collected as fare/fine. A total of 58 passengers were found traveling with improper tickets, from whom Rs 28320/- was recovered as fine/fare. Apart from charging a fine of Rs 200/- from one passenger who was traveling with unbooked luggage and littering at the station, the passengers were advised to travel only with proper tickets and not to litter.
Thus, during this Qilabandi ticket checking campaign run at Guna station, a total of 105 cases of passengers found traveling without tickets, inappropriate tickets and unbooked luggage were detected, resulting in a total railway revenue of Rs 55925/-.
6. Bina Station
During this Qila Bandi ticket checking campaign, tickets of passengers of a total of 34 trains going to and from Bina station were checked. During the investigation, a total of 71 passengers traveling without tickets were caught, from whom Rs 38360/- was collected as fare/fine. A total of 35 passengers were found traveling with improper tickets, from whom Rs 16900/- was recovered as fine/fare. Apart from charging a fine of Rs 300/- from two passengers who were traveling with unbooked luggage and littering at the station, the passengers were advised to travel only with proper tickets and not to litter.
Thus, during this Qilabandi ticket checking campaign conducted at Bina station, a total of 108 cases of passengers found traveling without tickets, inappropriate tickets and unbooked luggage were detected, resulting in a total railway revenue of Rs 55560/-.
7. Harda Station
During this Kila Bandi ticket checking campaign, tickets of passengers of a total of 9 trains going to Harda station were checked. During the investigation, a total of 103 passengers traveling without tickets were caught, from whom Rs 65900/- was collected as fare/fine. A total of 221 passengers were found traveling with improper tickets, from whom Rs 104400/- were recovered as fine/fare penalty and the passengers were advised to travel only with proper tickets and not to litter.
Thus, during this Qilabandi ticket checking campaign conducted at Harda station, a total of 324 cases of passengers found traveling without tickets, inappropriate tickets and unbooked luggage were detected, resulting in a total railway revenue of Rs 170300/-.
8. Vidisha Station
During this Qila Bandi ticket checking campaign, tickets of passengers of a total of 15 trains going to and from Vidisha station were checked. During the investigation, a total of 45 passengers traveling without tickets were caught, from whom Rs 17355/- was collected as fare/fine. A total of 5 passengers were found traveling with improper tickets, from whom Rs. 2600/- were recovered as fine/fare and the passengers were advised to travel with proper tickets only and not to litter.
Thus, during this Qilabandi ticket checking campaign conducted at Vidisha station, a total of Rs 19955/- railway revenue was received from a total of 50 cases detected of passengers traveling without tickets, inappropriate tickets and carrying unbooked luggage.
9. Narmadapuram Station
During this Kila Bandi ticket checking campaign, tickets of passengers of a total of 11 trains going to and from Narmadapuram station were checked. During the investigation, a total of 47 passengers traveling without tickets were caught, from whom Rs 35450/- was collected as fare/fine. A total of 86 passengers were found traveling with improper tickets, from whom Rs 42850/- was recovered as fine/fare and the passengers were advised to travel with proper tickets only and not to litter.
Thus, during this Qilabandi ticket checking campaign conducted at Narmadapuram station, a total of 133 cases of passengers found traveling without tickets, inappropriate tickets and carrying unbooked luggage were detected, resulting in a total railway revenue of Rs 78300/-.
Senior Divisional Commercial Manager Mr. Saurabh Kataria said that this campaign was run to ensure that all passengers travel with proper tickets. While preventing irregular trips increases railway revenue, it also ensures smooth, safe and clean travel for passengers. He has also appealed to the passengers to travel only with proper tickets. Traveling on waiting list e-tickets and platform tickets is not allowed. To enter the platform it is necessary to have a journey ticket or platform ticket. Passengers can also book tickets themselves using IRCTC website/app and UTS app.
