The exercise will be held from 24 February to 9 March 2025 in the East Fuji War Training area of ​​Japan. This information was given by the Ministry of Defense. ‘Dharma Guardian’ is an annual military exercise that is held in turn in India and Japan. Its previous version took place in Rajasthan in February-March 2024. The main objective of this exercise is to establish better coordination and coordination between the forces of India and Japan in urban war and anti -terrorism campaigns.
The Indian contingent consists of 120 soldiers, most of whom are soldiers of the Madras Regiment. Soldiers of other units are also participating along with them. The same number of soldiers will join the exercise as the 34th Infantry Regiment of Japan’s Ground Self Defense Force.
During this time both forces will emphasize joint strategy, strategic practice, physical fitness and disaster response strategies. This will help develop war skills, strengthen military capabilities and improve mutual coordination between the two armies.
