Theft in the temple before Mahashivaratri, the theft of centuries old Shivling


Gujarat. On the eve of Mahashivaratri, a ‘Shivling’ was allegedly stolen from Shri Bhidbhanjan Bhavnishwar Mahadev Temple near Harshad beach in Devbhoomi Dwarka in Gujarat. After this incident, a large -scale search operation was carried out by the police.

There is suspicion of hiding Shivling in the sea
Superintendent of Police Nitesh Pandey said that teams have been deployed to locate the stolen ‘Shivling’. He said that the authorities suspect that the Shivling may be hidden in the sea, hence scuba divers and swimmers have been called for help.

The SP said, “The priest of the crowd Bhawanishwar Mahadev Temple had informed the police that someone had stolen the ‘Shivling’ from the temple. After this, the teams were formed and investigated.

He further said, there is a possibility that someone may have hidden Shivalinga in the sea and hence we have called expert Scuba divers and swimmers. Further investigation is going on.
