Rescue operation in Srisailam tunnel continues, now search of investigative dogs will be taken


Nagrakurnaul. The rescue team is facing a lot of problems in safely taking out eight people trapped in the under -construction tunnel of Srisailam Left Bank Canal (SLBC) project under Nagarkuranul district of Telangana. Even after five days, he has not got any success yet. The help of the investigative dog will now be taken to find out the trapped people.

Help dog to contact
Nagarakurnaul District Collector B.K. Santosh said, “The mud has started freezing in the tunnel. So now we are also considering seeking help from Snifer Dog (investigative dog) to contact the trapped people. We are also taking advice of experts from the Geological Survey of India (GSI) and National Geographical Research Institute (NGRI) to prepare further action plan. ”

Still trapped far away
Santosh also said that the rescue teams have been able to reach the accident site inside the tunnel using thermal fishing boat. Initially there was a distance of 40 or 50 meters between the people trapped and the rescue team. There was mud there. But, now it has frozen to the maximum limit. Therefore, the rescue team has reached the accident site. We have a investigative dog. We will take him. Therefore, with the help of a dog, we will try to find them which is our priority.

No contact with trapped people
Superintendent of Police Vaibhav Gaikwad, Nagrakurnaul, said, “The 20 -member team of NDRF, SDRF and Rat Minors managed to reach the tunnel accident site. But there was a lot of debris there. They are now working on how to move forward. ”Agriculture Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy said that no contact has been made with the trapped people, although oxygen is being continuously delivered to the tunnel.

Jayaprakash Gaur, the founder president of JP Group, the contractor of this project, said on Wednesday that accidents may occur during difficult tasks. Jayprakash Associates Limited, the head of JP Group, was given the contract to dig the tunnel of SLBC. He said that rescue teams are trying their best to ensure that the trapped people can come out safely.
