The Pangi Valley received snowfall from one to two feet, due to which the contact of the valley has been cut. In Manali, snowfall has fallen, while the lower areas of the state received rain.
Orange alert on thunderstorms, rain and hailstorm in Punjab
The Meteorological Department has issued an arranged alert of heavy rainfall and snowfall at most places in Kangra, Chamba and Kullu districts for the next three days till Thursday. Punjab has been receiving drizzle and light rain for the last two days. On Wednesday, Hoshiarpur, Gurdaspur, Patiala, Pathankot, Chandigarh, Amritsar, Ludhiana, Patiala, Bathinda and Faridkot received drizzle and light rain.
The Meteorological Department has predicted strong winds at a speed of 30 to 40 kilometers per hour in many districts of Punjab on Thursday and Friday. In some places the wind speed can also be 40 to 50 kilometers. In some places there may be heavy rainfall and hailstorm in some places and in some places.
Possibility of light rain in Rajasthan
