Delhiites weekend became pleasant
The temperature has dropped due to rain in Delhi-NCR. Due to the rise in temperature for several days, there was a feeling of heat in February itself, but today cold winds have started moving as soon as the rain comes.
Weather changed in UP-Bihar too
The weather patterns have changed in UP too. The rains in Himachal and Uttarakhand have left an impact on the weather of UP. The temperature dropped in most areas. According to the Meteorological Department, sporadic clouds will remain frozen in the sky for the next two days. There will be a strong rain in western UP.
Today, there was a strong rain in Noida, Meerut, Ghaziabad and surrounding districts.
At the same time, Bihar was also partially cloudy. Along with this, the Meteorological Department has also issued a yellow alert in some places. There is a possibility of lightning at one or two places in Katihar, Bhagalpur, Banka, Jamui, Munger and Nawada districts with cloud thunderstorms.
Snow continues to fall on the mountains, clouds burst in Himachal
Due to continuous snowfall and rain in the hilly areas of Uttarakhand, curfew has become like curfew. Many routes have been closed due to snowfall. Snow has been lying on the roads for several km. Due to which public life has become free. On Saturday too, the Meteorological Department has issued a warning of heavy snowfall throughout the day.
A person was buried in snow due to an avalanche in Kokrolu village of Pangi Valley, Chamba, which was evacuated by the villagers.
At the same time, due to cloudburst in Luhardi of Bada Bhangal Valley of Kangra, the water level of Uhal river increased and due to this, the gates of Barot Dam had to be opened. There has been six feet in Rohtang, four and a half feet in Atal Tunnel Rohtang, four feet in the closet, about one and a half feet in Kinnaur.
Weather affected by La-Nina
The IMD has described this widespread change in the weather as the effect of La-Nina, which is formed due to the Pacific Ocean being overwhelmed than normal and deeply affects the Indian continent season.
Due to La-Nina, this time the cold did not get much in December-January. From the first week of February, the weather has taken a turn and the temperature started rising unexpectedly.
Forecast for next three months
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) released an estimate of the next three months on Friday, stating that this time in the summer season, there may be higher temperatures than normal. In the plains of North India, the heat wave (heat) can also run during the day.
Also, the days of heat stroke can be more than the last few years. The intensity in temperature can begin from the second week of March. In such a situation, rabi and hot crops can be damaged.
