
Jammu . In Jammu and Kashmir, heavy rains and snowfall are going on in this annual session and this is affecting the life of the state. The highway has been closed due to landslides on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway and the government has extended the holidays in the winter zone schools till March 6. This decision has been taken keeping in mind the safety of students and employees of schools in Kashmir and Jammu divisions. In Jammu and Kashmir, there was a lot of rain all night on 27 March and on Friday, Ba Rish’s Sil Sila continued, due to which Nadia and Dariya are in spate. The water level of Tawi river has also increased to a great extent, due to which the administration has advised the general public not to go around the river due to the rise in the water level. In view of this, there are many problems in road, rail and air traffic. The rains and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir are affecting Sadhana Pass, Rajdhan Pass, Sonamarg-Jazila-Gumri Axis, Mughal Road, Synthon Pass and many major roads. The government has expressed more vigilance about the message of disaster growing around the Tawi river. According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of cold in the state now, but there will be a possibility of landslides and avalanche in high areas.
