Talking about harmony, peace and unity, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee stressed, “The land of Bengal is the land of harmony and our message from this platform is to maintain harmony, peace and unity among all the communities of the state.”
Opposition accused of electoral stunt
Earlier, in the day, many opposition leaders took a sarcasm for Mamata Banerjee’s visit to Furfura Sharif and claimed that her ‘real intentions were’ ‘political’ and her real intention was to ‘get electoral support from the Muslim community in the state assembly elections next year’.
Defending Mamta Banerjee’s Furfura Sharif tour, another TMC leader Kunal Ghosh said, “It has nothing to do with the election. She went there after receiving an invitation. She has also visited Furfura Sharif before. This is a completely false allegation made by the mentally disturbed opposition leader. ”
