Chhattisgarh: At one time the Bodoland movement was at its peak in Assam, in which the cadres involved were armed. This movement fought with the government for several decades, but finally in 2020 they surrendered and have now joined the mainstream of society. This organization was earlier known as National Democratic Front of Bodoland, i.e. NDFB. Former Joint Secretary of this organization Beniwal Wari is currently in Chhattisgarh. During his Bastar tour, he has appealed to the Naxalites to give up their arms and join the mainstream and follow the path of peace and development like his organization. Beniwal Wari says that his organization has learned this important lesson after losing the lives of 3500 of its cadres.
inspire peace
The militants of Bodoland have now laid down their arms and joined the mainstream of the society, and this is the message Beniwal Wari is giving. In fact, the Bodoland organization waged an armed conflict with the government for almost 34 years. Now Beniwal Wari aims to inspire other organizations towards peace through his experiences.
The Bodoland organization waged an armed struggle against the government for almost 34 years. Now Beniwal Wari wants to explain to the Naxalites and their supporters that there will be no benefit from this path. Talking to the media, Beniwal said that his people continued to resort to militancy for 34 years demanding a separate Bodoland. Their organization has laid down arms after negotiations with the government in 2020 and now they are improving their lives with the help of the government.
NDFB initiative
NDFB has now evolved into BTC i.e. Bodoland Territorial Council. Through this change NDFB has linked its members to cooperative societies, allowing them to operate dairies, rice mills and poultry farms. This initiative has brought positive change in everyone’s life. In this context, Beniwal has also appealed to the Naxal organizations active in Bastar to join the mainstream of the society. According to him, there is a need to bring the natural beauty of Bastar to the world.
