Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, while addressing the foundation stone laying ceremony of Poonchari Lotha and Govardhan Parikrama Development Project in Deeg, said that with the blessings of Banshiwale Giriraj Ji Maharaj, we will fulfill the dream of developed Rajasthan 100 percent and the state will continuously move forward on the path of prosperity. He said that the development work of Poonchari’s Lotha and Govardhan Parikrama will enhance the spiritual beauty of this holy place and provide facilities to the devotees.
He said that on one hand our pilgrimage sites are being developed in the state, while on the other hand infrastructure is also being constructed at a rapid pace. We are continuously working on our resolve to lay a network of roads and new expressways in the state, which will also benefit the devotees. The Chief Minister said that every year about 2 crore devotees from India and abroad come here to circumambulate Giriraj Ji. Today this 21 kilometer parikrama has become an integral part of the lives of many Indian families. Devotees circumambulating barefoot or in prostration, tableaux decorated with offerings of Chhappan Bhog create a festive atmosphere. He said that this development project will enhance the spiritual beauty of this holy place of ours. Similarly, with the blessings of the people of the state, we will work to complete all the sacred tasks of spiritual development. Sharma said that in the parikrama of Giriraj ji, the 1.2 km part falling in Rajasthan is an important part of the parikrama. It has major temples like Shrinathji, Poonchari Ka Lotha etc. and many holy places like Apsara and Naval Kund. He said that soon the devotees coming from all over the country and the world will be able to get all the facilities in Poonchari. The Chief Minister said that a plan has been made to develop the Giriraj Ji Parikrama Path by dividing it into four zones. Today the foundation stone of the first zone has been laid which includes Shrinath Ji Temple, Lotha Temple of Poonchari, Dauji Temple, Ganga Temple, Narsingh Ji Temple, Mukharbind, Apsara Kund and Naval Kund, Fountain, Radha Vatika, Botanical Garden, Lotus Pond, Mayur Vatika, Vishnu Avtaar Garden will be developed. After this, works like grand entry and exit gates, beautification of the road, lighting, rest pavilion, drinking water facilities, food joints and stalls, sculptures related to Lord Shri Krishna, construction of galleries will be done in the second zone. The Chief Minister said that in the third zone of the Parikrama Path, entry plaza, green canal waterfront, parking, Goth place, bhajan and kirtan place, mythological art gallery, Giriraj Ji Museum, cultural center, spiritual center, art village etc. will be developed outside the Parikrama path. Will be done. At the same time, the 250 feet high statue to be built in the fourth zone will be the center of attraction for the devotees. Ashram village, meditation hall, cow shelters, Rajasthani handicraft market etc. will be developed in this zone. Shri Sharma thanked Vedanta Group for the funding and unwavering support in this project. During this, the Chief Minister visited the exhibition based on Poonchari Ka Lotha and Govardhan Parikrama Development Project. The Chief Minister said that the work of Poonchari’s Lotha and Govardhan Parikrama Development Project is a wonderful moment in cultural awakening. On January 22 this year, the country saw the completion of 500 years of wait in Ayodhya. He said that under the leadership of the illustrious Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the Central Government has infused a new enthusiasm among the countrymen by making Ayodhya and Kashi Vishwanath grand as per the faith of the devotees. On the same lines, the state government is getting work done worth Rs 100 crore to give grandeur to Khatushyamji. Budget provision has been made for special decoration and aarti in about 600 temples on festivals like Diwali, Holi, Shivratri and Ram Navami in the state. Development work of many temples and religious places is being done in the state including Kailadevi Temple (Lake Bara) and Ganga Temple. He said that the state government is carrying out development work in 20 major temples and religious places of Rajasthan with an amount of Rs 300 crore.
