Bhopal . Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav will arrive on December 20 to inaugurate the floating solar power plant built in Omkareshwar reservoir in Khandwa district. Let us tell you that power generation has been started from Asia’s largest Omkareshwar floating solar plant at the zenith of Narmada under Mandhata assembly constituency of Khandwa district. At present this solar plant is producing 278 MW electricity at its full capacity. This achievement of the state is considered an important step for Madhya Pradesh towards self-reliance in the field of green energy.
The area will also benefit from the Omkareshwar Dam Project along with the increase in electricity production from the floating solar plant in Narmada. At the same time, the people of Mandhata Assembly constituency of the district have now expressed hope that the people of the area will get the benefit of 520 MW power generation from Omkareshwar Dam Project and 278 MW power generation from Floating Solar Plant. The residents of the area have demanded that free electricity should be provided to the area and the unemployed people of the area should be given employment. During this time, social workers Naval Kishore Sharma, Jaiprakash Purohit, BJP leader Vijay Jain, social workers Lalit Dubey, Prabhakar Kelharkar, Ghanshyam, Dilip Verma, Anand Verma have demanded from the government that free electricity should be provided to Omkareshwar area.
There are no big industries in Mandhata assembly constituency.
Due to the inaction of the MP from Khandwa Lok Sabha constituency of the state and the MLA from the local Mandhata Assembly, this area is deprived of industries. Due to this, there is a situation of large scale unemployment in the area. Whereas the local people have made great sacrifices for the construction of the dam projects present here. Despite this, the previous Shivraj government of the state and the present Mohan government have not been able to provide any special facilities to the people of Omkareshwar area during their one year tenure.
Fishermen committees will submit memorandum to the Chief Minister
Giving information amid the news of the arrival of the Chief Minister in Omkareshwar area, local fishermen society organization head Dilip Verma said that on the arrival of the Chief Minister, the unemployed fishermen of the fishermen cooperative societies affected by the project met CM Mohan Yadav and discussed various problems and demands including their employment.
