Darbhanga. Dial 112 van of Simri police station in Darbhanga overturned in a puddle during patrolling late on Monday night. Policeman Shekhar Paswan died in this. While the driver and female constable were injured. The incident is said to have happened around 11:30 pm. The policeman killed in the incident has been identified as Shekhar Paswan (59), son of Mahendra Paswan, resident of Raghepura village of Bahadurpur police station area. Among the injured policemen, driver GK Jha Keoti and constable Archana Kumari are from Neelganj Kothi of Sadar police station of Purnia. He is being treated in the emergency department of DMCH.
How did the incident happen?
It is said that the police van of Dial 112 was returning from Sadhwara towards Simri police station after patrolling. Meanwhile, a dog came in front of the van near Birdipur Chowk. While trying to save him, the car overturned in a puddle next to the road. After which there was shouting.
