The 36th match of the T20 World Cup is to be held in Sydney on Thursday (November 3) between Pakistan and South Africa. It is a do or die match for Pakistan. He made a big change in the team before the match. Veteran batsman Fakhar Zaman will miss this match due to injury. In his place, Pakistan has included all-rounder Mohammad Haris in the team.
Haris can do wicketkeeping as well as off spin bowler. He is a middle order batsman. The ICC’s Event Technical Committee has allowed Haris to be included in the team. Haris has played one T20 match for Pakistan. He made his debut against England in Lahore in September. Then he had scored seven runs. Haris did not get a chance to bowl. He has only 10 runs to his name in four ODIs.
Fakhar Zaman was not in Pakistan’s 15-man squad for the T20 World Cup. He was selected as a reserve player. Fakhar was included in the squad after leg-spinner Usman Qadir was injured just before the tournament. He was not featured in the match against India and Zimbabwe. Pakistan had lost in both the matches. After this he had a chance to play against the Netherlands in Perth. Then Fakhar had scored 20 runs off 16 balls. The team got its first victory in the tournament.
