Bhopal: As part of the regular event ‘Sambhavana’ in the Tribal Museum, on Sunday, Rai dance by Prahlad Kurmi and his partner (Sagar), Gond tribal Gudumbaja dance by Keval Kumar and his partner (Anuppur) and Bhojpuri dance by Nagendranath Pandey and his partner (Aara, Bihar). A singing performance was given.
In the “Sambhavana” activity, Rai dance was presented by Prahlad and his friends. This dance expresses the joy and enthusiasm of the people of Bundelkhand. In this dance the artist sings and dances Phaag. There are many types of Rai songs like Khayal, Swang etc. The tinkling rai of ghunghrus to the beat of mridang and the mime dancing along with it express the tradition with entertainment. Along with the Rai dance, the songs of famous folk poet Isuri are also sung here.
Sudeep and his colleagues showed the relationship between save environment, environment and humans with different stories in the puppet performance. Also gave the message of saving nature. It is told in the story that a lush green tree stands proudly in the greenery of nature and bees roam around it and collect honey from it. One day a greedy man comes. He takes out his saw and starts cutting that tree and while working, his saw breaks and then the man realizes that he has hurt nature.
Gond dance was presented in the program by Keval and his friends. Gudumbaja dance is a traditional dance of Dhulia sub-caste of Gond tribe. The community has a long tradition of playing the Gudum instrument. Especially on marriages and other ceremonial occasions, artists of this community are compulsorily invited to perform Manglik recitals. In this dance, the tunes of Gond Karma and Saila songs are played through Shehnai along with instruments like Gudum, Duff, Manjira, Timki etc. and dance is performed in various postures with rhythm and rhythm, wearing colorful costumes and tying Gudum around the waist. .
In the next presentation, Bhojpuri singing was done by Nagendranath and his friends. Artists performed Devi Geet – Nimima Ke Daad Maiya…, Shiv Vivah – Shiv Mora Chalele…, Satrun – Hey Hey Saguni…, Sahana – Amva Se Meeth Mahua Ae Baba…, Jhumar – Pipra Ke Patwa…, Chaita – Ramji Ke Bhaile Janamva… , many melodious Bhojpuri songs were presented.
