BSF jawan injured in clash between tension on India-Bangladesh border


Soldier Things on the Indo-Bangladesh border are deteriorating. A clash between the Border Security Force (BSF) and the intruders on 28 February in Tripura’s Sipahijala district, in which a BSF jawan and a Bangladeshi citizen were injured. According to the information, the incident took place at 7:30 pm, when about 20 to 25 Bangladeshi intruders entered the Indian border with the border column (BP) 2050/7-S near the BOP Putia area. These intruders were involved in smuggling activities. The BSF patrol team tried to stop infiltration, but the miscreants tried to snatch and attacked. Seeing the situation being uncontrollable, a BSF jawan fired in self-defense with a non-fatal pump action gun (PAG). A Bangladeshi citizen was injured by a bullet. Meanwhile, a BSF jawan was also injured in a clash. Both the injured were immediately admitted to the hospital, and the officials started investigating the case.

Meanwhile, the Mumbai Police taunted illegal Bangladeshi migrants. A special search operation was carried out in Mankhurd, Vashi Naka, Kalamboli, Panvel, Thane, Kalyan and Mumbra under the leadership of DCP Dr. Praveen Mundhe. 16 illegal Bangladeshi citizens were arrested. Those against whom there were no records, new cases were registered, while new allegations were added in the cases of old criminals.
