Only two people have been given notice. Along with this, a warning has also been issued that action will be taken to remove similar illegal occupation in other places also.
In fact, the entire place was illegally occupied on the road leading to the station in front of the canal bridge. Along with putting up handcarts, people had even done raw construction. During this, the shopkeepers and occupiers were repeatedly explained by the Railways. Even after this, he did not give up possession. On this, RPF jawans and EOW team along with railway officers left with bulldozers on Saturday.
Korba RPF in-charge Ramvriksha Yadav was informed that on the instructions received from above, the team of RPF and IOW took action on the spot. During this, 18 illegal encroachments have been removed from here. During this, people tried to protest on their behalf, but to no avail. It has been clearly said that action has been taken here now, if needed, steps will be taken in other areas as well.
With the joint action, the railways has made its area free from encroachment. The green belt area near SECL helipad also remains a victim of encroachment. It is difficult to say how long these areas will be free from encroachment.
