Bus overturned in Bijapur, 3 passengers died, 4 passengers in serious condition.

Three passengers were killed when a bus overturned on Jagdalpur-Bijapur National Highway-163 in Chhattisgarh on Sunday morning. While more than half a dozen passengers are injured. On receiving the information, the police reached and admitted the injured to the local hospital. The accident happened in Bangapal police station area.

According to the information, the bus of Kushwaha Travels from Raipur left for Bijapur late on Saturday night. The bus had reached Bijapur, about two km away from Bangapal police station, at around 5 am on Sunday morning when it went uncontrolled and overturned on the roadside. After this there was a hue and cry. When the local people leaving from there saw the accident, they informed the police, then the jawans reached the spot.

Three passengers died on the spot in the accident. Others were taken out. Out of this, half a dozen passengers are said to be injured. It is being told that there were 20 to 25 passengers in the bus at the time of the accident. SDOP Taresh Sahu said that after the accident, some passengers took their luggage and left as per their convenience. So far the names of the dead and injured have not been revealed.

It is being told that the speed of the bus was high. The bus went out of control after the driver dozed off at the turn and overturned on the side of the road after going some distance. Regional MLA Vikram Mandavi also reached the spot as soon as the news of the accident came. He inquired about the condition of the passengers. Also know the reason for the incident. Along with this, he also talked to the doctors for better treatment of the injured.
