Raipur. On the second day of his stay in Bastar, Union Home Minister Amit Shah met the families of the soldiers martyred in the Naxalite attack in Amar Vatika and expressed condolences to the families of the civilians affected by the Naxalite violence. He said that the sacrifices of the martyrs will not go in vain and the Central and State governments stand firmly with their families. Shah assured that Naxalism will be completely eliminated from the holy land of Mother Danteshwari. While sharing the central government’s strategy to end Naxalism, Home Minister Shah said that security agencies and police personnel are working vigorously on the Naxal front. He said that in the last one year, due to precise strategy, the scope of Naxal activities has been limited and development works are being speeded up. Welcoming the surrender of Naxalites, Shah made it clear that those following the path of violence will be answered in their own language.
Praising the initiative of Chhattisgarh government, Amit Shah said that one day a week has been earmarked in the office of the Inspector General of Police to listen to the problems of the families of the martyrs. He suggested that the Collector should also participate in these meetings, so that the family members can get better support.
Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai said that the martyrdom of the martyrs will not go in vain. He announced that to preserve the memories of the martyred soldiers, their statues would be installed in their villages. Sai said that the central and state governments will jointly take care of the interests of the victims’ families. Deputy Chief Minister Vijay Sharma underlined the importance of meeting the martyrs and families affected by the violence. He said that this sorrow is common for all of us and the government stands with you. On this occasion, families of martyred soldiers and civilians who were victims of Naxalite violence were present. This initiative of Amit Shah and state leaders symbolizes the commitment to establish peace and accelerate development in Naxal affected areas.
