Bhopal: Bhopal Municipal Corporation Mayor Malti Rai has said that children studying in school should actively participate in creative and artistic activities along with studies. Teachers should encourage children for this. Mayor Malti Rai was addressing the closing ceremony of National Balrang Samaroh of School Education Department at Rashtriya Manav Sangrahalaya today.
Mayor Rai said that the performances of children from different states in the National Balrang strengthen the feeling of national unity. Children also get a chance to know the culture and heritage of different states through this event. In the program, Director of Indira Gandhi National Human Museum, Prof. Amitabh Pandey, Director Public Education D.S. Kushwaha and departmental officer P.K. Singh was also present.

In the National Balrang, children from 22 states and union territories presented folk dances based on the culture of their respective states. The first prize was given to the children of Pondicherry. An amount of Rs 1 lakh 11 thousand was given as award. The second prize was given to the children of Haryana. An amount of Rs 75 thousand was given as award. The third prize was given to the Union Territory of Chandigarh. He was given an amount of Rs 51 thousand. Consolation prizes were given to children of Madhya Pradesh and Uttarakhand for their performance. They were given an amount of Rs 21-21 thousand.

Vision-2047 exhibition was organized in the three-day National Balrang. In the exhibition, children of the capital Bhopal displayed models according to the vision of the year 2047. An exhibition depicting the culture of different states was organized on the Vikas Bharat Abhiyan. Apart from this, scout camp, handicraft exhibition and stalls of cuisines of different states were set up. Children participated enthusiastically in these. In Balrang, impromptu speech, question forum, calligraphy, folk songs, accessible music and special competitions for disabled children were organised.
