New Delhi . Congress MP Shashi Tharoor on Sunday said he is not angry with anyone in the party’s Kerala unit and has no objection to talking to anyone. He said that we do not study in the school of any children who do not talk to each other. Speaking to the media at a state-level convention of the All India Professionals Congress in Kochi, the Thiruvananthapuram MP said he has not spoken against anyone in the party. It doesn’t make any sense. Why has such a controversy been created?
He said that I am not upset or angry with anyone. I have not blamed or accused anyone. There is no complaint or problem from my side. I have no problem seeing everyone together, nor do I have any problem talking to anyone. Asked whether he would speak to Leader of the Opposition (LoP) in the state assembly V D Satheesan and Kerala PCC (KPCC) president K Sudhakaran.
To this, Tharoor said that he was not feeling well and would participate in the event through video conferencing. He said if we meet at the venue then we will see. If they speak to me shall I not answer? We are not school children avoiding talking or speaking to each other. But how do we talk if we are not in the same place at the same time?
Satheesan, without naming Tharoor, had recently said that no sectarianism or parallel activities would be allowed in the party and warned that such things would be dealt with seriously. This was one of several comments made by the Leader of the Opposition in the wake of Tharoor’s visit to Malabar. Tharoor’s detractors in the party feel that through his programs he is positioning himself as an ideal chief ministerial candidate of the Congress-led UDF to end the rule of the CPI(M)-led LDF in the 2026 assembly elections. were trying to install. In the wake of the controversy surrounding his recent visit, the KPCC’s disciplinary panel on Saturday issued a strict directive to its leaders not to bypass the respective party forums while participating in programs at each place. When this was pointed out to Tharoor by reporters on Sunday, he said that the District Congress Committee (DCC) president is always informed whenever he attends any public event.
