Jaipur. The death toll in the massive fire incident on Jaipur-Ajmer highway is continuously increasing. So far 14 people have lost their lives in the incident and 35 are said to be injured. Of these, 28 people have suffered 80 percent burns. Many people are on ventilator support.
In fact, several meters away from the LPG tanker blast that took place on Bhankrota Ajmer Road yesterday, vehicles were hit by it. The accident was so terrible that the bodies of many people were not even recognisable. DCP West Jaipur Amit Kumar gave this information.
Since many dead bodies could not be identified, the government has now decided to conduct DNA tests on them. DNA samples of the deceased have been sent to Sawai Man Singh Hospital in Jaipur for testing.
Let us tell you that around 6 am on Friday, a tanker filled with LPG gas collided with a truck. When the tanker was taking a U-turn, it collided with a truck, causing a massive explosion. The blast affected an area of one and a half kilometres. 40 vehicles passing near the incident were hit by it, resulting in the death of 14 people.
When the LPG gas tanker collided with the truck, several vehicles collided with it. During this time, among the vehicles that collided, a truck was filled with gas cylinders, fortunately they did not fall down.
At the same time, a truck was filled with clothes, which also caught fire. A truck was filled with matchsticks, the fire spread rapidly as the truck overturned. After the incident, people living in the area for two kilometers were asked to stay in their homes. Holiday was declared in nearby schools.
PM Modi expressed grief
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also expressed his condolences to the families of the victims. The PM said in a post that he is deeply saddened by the deaths of people. He expressed condolences to those who lost their loved ones and wished for the speedy recovery of the injured.
PM announced an assistance of Rs 2 lakh each to the dead and Rs 50 thousand to the injured.
