Bhopal: Under the Dharti Aaba Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan implemented for the tribal communities by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India, the State Government has appointed the Chief Secretary, Government of Madhya Pradesh for the preparation of action plan, its implementation, coordination, convergence and monitoring by various development departments. State level Apex Committee has been constituted.
According to the order issued by the General Administration Department, the committee includes Finance Department, New and Renewable Energy, Science and Technology, Energy, Panchayat and Rural Development, Public Health and Medical Education, Public Health Engineering, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection, Fishermen Welfare and Fisheries Development. Secretaries of the departments of Animal Husbandry and Dairy, Tourism, AYUSH, School Education, Technical Education and Agricultural Development and Farmers Welfare have been made members of the committee. The Secretary, Tribal Affairs Department will be the Member Secretary of the Committee.
The committee will monitor the work of all district collectors and will also identify excellent works. The committee will conduct monthly and quarterly reviews, advise on the progress of the scheme and possible problems and will also do the work of coordination between the departments. By organizing meetings from time to time, the committee will also be able to ensure other actions as per the guidelines received from the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India.
