Bhopal: Madhya Pradesh Government Forest Department, under the Anubhuti Program 2024-25, is making the school students aware of forest, wildlife and environment conservation by making them aware of their conservation and motivating them for participation along with the forest department and departmental works, responsibilities and challenges. With the aim of making the students aware about this, in coordination with Madhya Pradesh Eco Tourism Development Board, a training-cum-awareness camp was organized on the theme “I am also a tiger” and “We are the change” in Vatt Vihar National Park today on 19th December. was organized, in which a total of 115 students and 7 teachers including 15 visually impaired, 83 hearing impaired, 11 intellectually handicapped and 6 deaf-mute students of Government Higher Secondary School for Visually and Hearing Impaired, Bhopal participated.
Dr. S.R. as the master trainer of Anubhuti program. Waghmare, retired Deputy Conservator of Forests and Dr. S.R. Waghmare, retired Deputy Conservator of Forests was present. Vijay Nandvanshi Biologist was also present. During this, Director Van Vihar Meena Awadheshkumar Shivkumar, Assistant Director Van Vihar S.K. Sinha and other officers and employees were also present.
Every child who participated in the camp was provided with Anubhuti book, Anubhuti bag, cape, brochures of Van Vihar as well as brochures of aquatic birds, terrestrial birds, butterfly species, vulture key. The program started with the national anthem by the disabled children. The students were provided information about bird watching, wildlife watching, nature trail tour, forestry activities existing at the site and food chain by master trainers and new motivators. Also gained information by playing games related to food web and food chain. Interesting activities related to forests, wildlife and environment were conducted and their curiosities were quenched by providing information. Similarly, visually handicapped children identified birds and wild animals by listening to their sounds and understood them by touching the horns, antlers and models of herbivorous wild animals. At the end of the program, a cultural program was also presented by disabled children. At the conclusion of the program, Director Van Vihar Meena Awadhesh Kumar Shivkumar administered oath to the children participating in the camp and distributed awards and certificates.
The upcoming camp under the Anubhuti program will be organized on 26 December 2024 at Van Vihar.
