Meerut | Meerut’s daughter Fatima Khatoon won a bronze medal in discus throw, while she finished fourth in javelin throw at the Grand Prix held in Morocco, North Africa on Friday. Along with qualifying for the Paralympics, she has also secured a place in the World Championship – 2023 and Asian Games. She has also become the second ranked player in Asia.

Fatima, 30, a resident of Radhana village in Kithore, has achieved this position on the strength of her courage. He won the bronze medal in discus throw with a throw of 17.65m, while in javelin throw he finished fourth with a throw of 15m. 13 meters was the qualifying mark for the Paralympics. Fatima, who was posted as a stenographer in the electricity department, was seriously injured in a road accident in 2014. She remained in a coma for six months. Both arms and legs were broken, while 194 stitches were received all over the body. When she woke up after two years of bed rest, the support of a wheel chair became her life. She had become disabled in general. When he got a second life, he started working hard in 2017 while trying his luck in sports. He got this position because of the passion to do something different.
