The fans of ‘Aashiqui’, one of Bollywood’s finest franchise films, became very happy when the third part of the film Aashiqui 3 was recently announced. The sentiment of Bollywood cine lovers increased even more when they came to know that Karthik Aryan will be seen in the lead role in the film.
Actor Kartik Aaryan on Monday revealed that he will be seen in the third installment of the 1990 blockbuster film “Aashiqui”. This musical romantic drama will be directed by Anurag Basu, who is known for films like ‘Barfi’, ‘Ludo’.
Talking about the film, Kartik Aaryan said, “The timeless classic Aashiqui is a film that I have grown up watching and working on Aashiqui 3 is like a dream come true! I am grateful to Bhushan sir and Mukesh sir for this opportunity and collaboration. I have been a huge fan of Anurag sir’s work, and associating with him will definitely provide direction in many ways. Anurag Basu said, “Working with Vishesh Films is really like coming home and I am very happy that I am directing Aashiqui 3.
Aashiqui 2 was an emotion for fans that remains in hearts till date, it aims to carry forward the legacy in the best possible way. This will be my first venture with Kartik Aaryan who is known for his hard work, dedication, patience and determination towards his work and I am really looking forward to it.’
Let us inform that composer Pritam, who has worked in many of Basu’s films, will give music for ‘Aashiqui 3’. To recall, ‘Aashiqui’ was directed by Mahesh Bhatt and starred Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal in the film. The film was a huge success due to music composed by Nadeem-Shravan and lyrics penned by Sameer, Rani Malik and Madan Pal. The film’s sequel, ‘Aashiqui 2’ (2013) was directed by Mohit Suri and starred Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead roles. Its second part also proved to be a blockbuster. The film’s music was composed by Jeet Ganguly, Mithun and Ankit Tiwari and lyrics were penned by Irshad Kamil, Sandeep Nath, Sanjay Masoom and Mithun.
