Free booster dose will be taken from 15th August to 15th September


Raipur: A meeting of the State Level Steering Committee constituted for monitoring of COVID-19 vaccination was held at Mantralaya under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Shri Amitabh Jain today. In the meeting, the Chief Secretary told the members of the committee that during the period from 15th August to 15th September, special campaign should be carried out by conducting a special campaign to apply Kovid vaccination and booster dose. He has directed to ensure vaccination of all government employees and their relatives, beneficiaries of departmental schemes and other citizens through this campaign. Shri Jain has given instructions to conduct vaccination camps in five major offices located in the divisional headquarters during the period from August 11 to August 14. Similarly, after August 15, vaccination camps have been asked to be organized in five big office campuses of block level on August 19-20-21.
In the meeting, Principal Secretary, Health Department, Smt. Maninder Kaur Dwivedi informed that on the occasion of 75th anniversary of independence, booster doses of Kovid-19 will be given free of cost during the period from 15th August to 15th September under Amrit Mahotsav. So far, about two crore 22 lakh 76 thousand 912 people have been given first dose, one crore 96 lakh 79 thousand 341 have given second dose and 38 lakh one thousand 813 people have been given booster dose. In the meeting, state level officials of Panchayat and Rural Development, Urban Development, Revenue, Women and Child Development, School Education, Tribal Development, Home Department, Labor Department gave detailed information about the strategy-action plan of their department for Kovid vaccination. . In this meeting organized through video conferencing, officers of the level of Secretary and Director of the concerned departments participated.
