Bhopal. It is now becoming difficult for tourists to visit UAE, which was considered the first choice for tourists. There has been a significant increase in cases of rejection of visa applications by the UAE in recent times. Due to this, tourists who have planned a trip are getting worried and along with the passengers, travel agents are also facing huge losses. Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi of UAE are considered to be among the most favorite places for Indian travelers to travel abroad. A big reason for this is that it is very easy to get UAE visa. But now the circumstances have started changing. Amol Kataria, Secretary, Travel Agents Federation of India, said that generally when applying for a visa to travel to UAE, it was believed that if the documents were complete and correct then the visa would be granted. On an average, 1 to 2 percent of visa applications were rejected or rejected by the Embassy, but for some time now, cases of rejection of applications from the entire country including Indore have increased a lot and the rejection rate has increased from 5 to 10 percent. Has reached 6 percent.
Rules tightened for tourist visa
Kataria said that the main reason for the rejection of visa applications is considered to be to stop the increasing number of people coming to UAE illegally. In view of this, UAE has implemented new visa regulation rules some time ago, which are much stricter than the earlier provisions, due to which visa applications are being rejected.
Keep these rules in mind
According to the new visa regulation rules implemented by UAE, all the documents of the applicant for tourist visa are required to be complete and correct. The most important ones in this are the return tickets and hotel booking of the passenger. This booking should also be done through an authorized travel agency and there should be a QR code on the booking, which can be verified, whereas if you are going to meet any of your relatives settled in UAE, then complete information about the same will have to be entered on the immigration website. . Along with this, for a two-month visa, it is necessary to have 5 thousand dirhams (about Rs 1.14 lakh) in your bank account. It is important to give this information along with the application.
Loss of more than Rs 100 crore
Kataria said that according to a recent report, 9,66,687 Indians had applied for UAE visa in the year 2023, out of which the applications of 1,51,752 people were rejected. He said that in most of the cases, travelers make tickets and hotel booking in advance, but if the visa of any one member of the group gets canceled, the trip of the entire group almost gets cancelled. According to the report, Indians have lost more than Rs 109 crore in such cases in the recent past, because in most of the cases flight tickets and hotel bookings are non-refundable. Due to this the agents are also suffering huge losses.
