How long will the center be built?
Chemotherapy and counseling services will be available in these centers. In addition, a center should have 4 to 6 beds, oncologists or a medical officer, two nurses, a pharmacist, a consultant and a multi -purpose worker. Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced this in her budget speech. These centers will be built in the next three years. At least 200 centers will be made in a year. The remaining centers will be established on time. According to the Ministry of Health, cancer treatment will be easily found near the homes of patients.
Recommendation of separate recruitment
The parliamentary panel has also recommended separate recruitment. The panel report said that the committee also wants them to be admitted separately instead of giving doctors and nurses from district hospitals for smooth operation of the centers, as there is already a shortage of doctors in district hospitals.
Increasing cases of cancer
According to the report, more than 14 lakh cases are reported in India every year, out of which 9 lakh people die. The most common cancer of men in men and mouth (15.6%) and lungs (8.5%) can be reported. At the same time, women have the highest number of (26.6%) cases of breast cancer.
