Mumbai With the arrival of monsoon in Maharashtra this year, heavy rains are wreaking havoc, there is a flood situation in many districts of the state, NDRF teams have to be deployed in many places. Meanwhile, the State Disaster Management Department has released the figures of these incidents, according to which 76 people have died due to rain-related incidents in Maharashtra since June 1, 2022. With this, 9 out of 76 people died in the last 24 hours. While 838 houses were damaged due to floods and heavy rains and 4916 people have been shifted to safer places. Relief work is also going on by Disaster Management Department and Rehabilitation Department and 35 relief camps have been set up. The State Disaster Management Department said that 125 animals have also lost their lives in rain and flood-related incidents in Maharashtra from June 1, 2022. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rains for the next four to five days in Konkan, Ghat region of Madhya Maharashtra, and parts of Marathwada.
