The India Meteorological Department (Imd) Issued Weather Alerts for Various Regents Aross India on Monday, May 5, Warning of Heavy Rainfall, Thundersstorms, and Strong Winds. The Forecast Predicts Significant Weather Disturbances Affecting Multiple Areas, with a Multi-Hazard Warning in place.

Weather Conditions Across India

Gujarat and Southwest Rajasthan:

Heavy to very Heavy Rainfall is expected, Accompanied by Thundersstorms, Lightning, and Suckly/Gusty Winds.
Northwest India: Rainfall, thundersstorms, lightning, and hailstorms are forecasted to continue, along with gusty winds.

Eastcentral and Eastern India: A spell of Rainfall and Thundersstorms is expected over odisha, Gangetic West Bengal, and Nearby regions.

Weather Forecast for Delhi-NCR

In the Delhi-NCR Region, Light Rain Accompanied by Thundersstorms, Lightning, and Strong Surface Winds is Likely on May 5. Winds May Temporary Increase to Speeds of 30-40 km/H, Gusting to 50 km/H, Gusting to 50 km/H during the thundress.

Imd issues an orange and multi-hazard warning

The weather disturbances today

1) a western disturbance as a cyclonic circulation is positioned over north Pakistan and adjoining punjab and northwest Rajasthan, extended across multiples of the atmosphere
2) An upper Air Cyclonic Circulation is Located Over Central South Uttar Pradesh, with a Troughs Extending from this system to South Tamil Nadu in the Lower Levels of the Atmosphere
3) Another Upper Air Cyclonic Circulation Lies Over Northern Parts of Gangetic West Bengal, with a Trough extending from this circulation to north coastal andhra pradesh.
4) A Cyclonic Circulation is also present over the Northeast Arabian Sea and Coastal Areas of Gujarat.
5) An upper Air Cyclonic Circulation is Located Over Northeast Assam, Further Influencing The Weather Pattern.
