New Delhi. The departure of Indians allegedly living illegally in the US has created a big controversy in the country. Indian citizens have claimed that they were tied in their hands and feet and sent back by military aircraft. The opposition has raised the issue in Parliament and demanded that the central government resolve the issue with the US. Due to this, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar had to take the front towards the government. He came to the Rajya Sabha and answered all the questions. Jaishankar said, the US is organized and implemented by the USA Authority (ICE) Authority. The SOP (standard operating process) for departing by ICE aircraft is effective since 2012. There is a provision for restraint under this. We have been informed by the ICE that there is no restriction for women and children.
Jaishankar said that the central government is talking to the Donald Trump administration to ensure that Indians are not misbehaved. He said that if a country finds its citizens illegally while living abroad, then they will have to withdraw them. Jaishankar said, I repeat that there has been no change in the previous SOP for the flight sent by the US on February 5. First of all, take a look at the immigration and custom Information (ICE) Authority. According to the report, ICE Homeland is one of the two major agencies of the Security Department (DHS). US Customs and Border Security (CBP) is the second major agency of DHS, who arrests those who try to cross the border illegally. DHS is responsible for implementing immigration in America. While the CBP focuses on the border, ICE works to remove those who are illegally in the country. Deportation occurs when an immigration judge gives a final order of expulsion. The illegal immigrants are then transported to one place on the southwest border with Mexico through commercial aircraft or ICE flight. After this, illegal immigrants are kept here for a few days. Let us know that on Wednesday, a US Air Force aircraft landed in Amritsar with 104 Indian citizens as part of Donald Trump’s illegal immigrants. Most of the detected people were from Punjab, Haryana and Gujarat.
