Balodabazar: Chhattisgarh Mitanin Sangh has opened a front against the state government with its two-point demands. In the same sequence, Mitanin Sangh of Balodabazar district also demonstrated. Hundreds of militants from across the district participated in this protest. The protesters are adamant on the demand of Mitanin unification.
Mitanins are demanding merger in NHM
Mitanins say that all Mitanins, Mitanin trainers, block coordinators, health panchayat coordinators, area coordinators and Mitanin help desk facilitators should be merged into the National Health Mission (NHM). He said that we will not work with SHRC, NGOs. He also informed that the previous government had promised that the honorarium of Mitanins would be increased by 50%. The government is not able to fulfill its promise.
The strike will continue until the demands are met
The protesting Mitanins said that Mitanin officials have been providing health services for 21 years, but till now they have been deprived of Sanlivan. Despite having 21 years of experience at the grassroots level, work is being done on very low incentives and compensation basis. Until the state health minister meets our demands, we will stop work and continue the strike.
