Chhattisgarh: Maoists set ablaze vehicles engaged in road construction on Thursday night in Medo village under Durgukondal police station area of Kanker. These vehicles were engaged in construction work on Latmarka road. After getting the information of the incident, Durgukondal police immediately reached the spot and started investigation.
According to the information, the Naxalites carried out the incident of arson in village Medo at around 10 pm. But as soon as the tanker’s tire burst, people came out of their houses. The Naxalites ran away as soon as the common people heard the sound. Five vehicles were parked at the spot. Naxalites have targeted the tanker. Presently, except for the burning of three tires in the tankers of the road construction company, there was no major damage. Police and BSF are probing the incident.
