220 brides and grooms from across the district tied the knot in a mass marriage program under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Yojana in the Mendka Dobra temple complex of Dantewada district headquarters. Among these, a couple is from the eastern village. Purvi is the village of Naxalites Hidma and Deva, after the change of government, the picture of Purvi is changing. After the opening of the camp, the people of Purvi are living fear-free and the government’s schemes are changing their lives, due to which now the soldier posted in Purvi has started a new life by marrying a Naxal victim. Among these 220 couples, two couples from Niyad Nella Nar village have also vowed to live together for seven births. After the coming of Vishnu Dev Sai government in Chhattisgarh, the morale of the villagers is continuously increasing due to the continuous action against Naxalites.
Under the leadership of the state’s successful Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the Chhattisgarh government is running many schemes in the interest of villages, poor and farmers. By benefiting from these welfare schemes, poor families are getting the opportunity to move towards development. In this mass girl marriage in a remote area of Dantewada district, today 220 couples are tying the knot and entering into family life. All this has come to fruition through the Mukhyamantri Kanyadan Yojana of the state government, which shows the government’s commitment to serve poor families. Apart from this, the field staff of the Women and Child Development Department also deserve congratulations who benefited from mass marriages by registering marriageable young men and women from various villages, paras, hamlets and localities.
Two couples from Niyad Nella Nar village Dhurli also benefited from mass marriage.
Among the couples who chanted Vedic mantras and accepted the sacred words of Saptapadi in the programme, two couples were residents of Niyad Nella Nar village Dhurli. Susima Bhaskar and Sudri Telam were also included in these. Seema is 10th pass and working in Municipal Council Bade Bacheli. Seema is married to Remash Bhaskar who is a farmer. Similarly, Sundari Telam is a laborer, Dhannu Kunjam is also a laborer. Both the newly married people praised this scheme of the government and called it useful for the poor and needy. He said that this scheme has not only freed us from the huge expenses of marriage, but after the marriage, the amount of Rs 35 thousand in the girl’s account also provides support for post-marriage expenses.
