Bhopal: Deputy Chief Minister Rajendra Shukla has said that providing quality health services to every citizen of the state is our top priority. By successfully implementing health awareness, timely diagnosis and prevention measures, we will make the state a leading state in the field of health. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that for better delivery of health services and improvement in health standards, it is very important to make the public aware of adopting a healthy lifestyle, proper methods of health care and necessary precautions. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla reviewed the awareness activities at the residence office located at Char Imli to strengthen health services and improve health outcomes in the state.
Timely identification is important to solve health problems.
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that timely identification is necessary for timely availability of health services. So that their timely resolution can also be ensured. Deputy Chief Minister Shukla said that preventive health care measures are as important as the delivery of health services. This can improve various health parameters including Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) and Maternal Mortality Rate (MMR) in the state.
Encourage public participation in health campaigns
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla laid special emphasis on making the public health conscious. He said that public awareness campaigns for adopting a healthy lifestyle should be made more effective. It is necessary to educate common citizens about health management, proper eating habits, regular health checkups and correct methods of health care. He said that clear information about what to do and what not to do (Do’s & Don’ts) should be made available to the people, so that prevention of diseases can be ensured. He stressed on encouraging public participation, so that health campaigns can be implemented successfully.
Deputy Chief Minister Shukla has directed that a detailed action plan for awareness activities should be prepared within a week. Which should include health awareness campaigns, timely diagnosis and effective delivery of health services. In the meeting, Deputy Chief Minister Shukla was informed about the ongoing health awareness activities and upcoming schemes in the state. Managing Director of National Health Mission (NHM) Dr. Saloni Sidana, IEC Director Dr. Rachna Dubey and Deputy Director (IEC) Dr. Archana Pundhir were present.
