New Delhi . Changes in the weather patterns have started appearing in most of the states of India. Winter has started in North India. While there is a feeling of chill in the morning, evening and night, the sun of the day is starting to feel good. The effect of fog has started appearing in many states. Due to snowfall in the higher reaches of the hill states, the temperature has dropped. Its effect is also visible in the plains.
On the other hand, rain alert has been issued in South India. A low pressure area has formed over the southwest Bay of Bengal off the coast of Sri Lanka. It is very likely to intensify further and move towards Tamil Nadu and Puducherry coasts in the next 24 hours. According to the IMD, heavy to very heavy rainfall at a few places is possible over North Coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and adjoining areas.
An order has been issued to keep educational institutions closed in 26 districts of Tamil Nadu. The Meteorological Department has advised fishermen not to venture into South Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Gulf of Mannar and adjoining Comorin region as well as southwest and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal today and tomorrow. Along with this, the IMD has appealed to fishermen not to venture into the southeast and adjoining east-central Arabian Sea and the coasts of Kerala, Lakshadweep region, Maldives between November 13-14.
Here on the high peaks of the Himalayas, it has been raining along with snow for the last several days. Due to this the temperature has dropped below zero in many areas. IMD has forecast snowfall and rain in Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Gilgit-Baltistan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand today. Its effect will be seen in North India. In the next 4 to 5 days, cold will increase in many states of the country including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Telangana, Odisha.
According to the information given by the Meteorological Department, today, on November 12, Delhi can record minimum temperature of 14 degrees and maximum temperature of 29 degrees. In Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh, the minimum temperature will be 16 degrees and the maximum temperature will be 28 degrees. Apart from this, there will be fog in the morning. In Ghaziabad, the minimum temperature will be 14 degrees and the maximum temperature will be 26 degrees along with fog.
