Rescue work in final stages, water leakage became a serious challenge

Nagrakurnaul. It has not yet been possible to remove eight people trapped in the Telangana tunnel accident for the last nine days. Efforts to remove silt from the scene have been intensified and deployment of rescue personnel and equipment has been increased.

Rescue work is in the final stages, but continuous water leakage remains a major obstacle. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy said that there is no information about the exact place of people trapped inside the tunnel. The government is making efforts to expedite the rescue operations.

Conveyor belt will be cured soon
On Sunday, he visited the accident site. Talking to reporters later, he said that the rescue operation will be accelerated after repairing the damaged conveyor belt. The conveyor belt that helps carry silt is expected to be cured by Monday.

He said, ‘Rescue workers have not fully understood where people and machines are stuck inside the tunnel. They have initial estimates, but are not completely clear. ‘ The government has suggested to the officials leading the rescue operations that if necessary, use the robot inside the tunnel to protect the rescue personnel from any danger. The government is ready to help the victim families.

700 employees engaged in rescue work
On Sunday, an official said that the damaged conveyor belt is expected to be repaired by Monday due to the collapse of the tunnel. Once repaired, it will be easier to remove mud and debris from the tunnel.

Around 700 employees of 18 agencies of the central and state government are engaged in rescue work. Each shift has at least 120 employees doing rescue operations. On the other hand, some BJP MLAs have also visited the accident site to assess the situation.

Party MLA Maheshwar Reddy said that the accident happened due to mismanagement of the current and previous state governments. This disaster has come due to their negligence. The state government has ignored many issues, due to which the lives of eight workers are now at stake.
