New Delhi . Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav has suffered a major setback. The candidature of SP candidate Kirti Kol has been rejected. In such a situation, the election of both the BJP candidates has been decided unopposed. SP had played tribal bets by fielding Kirti Kol. On Monday itself, Dharmendra Singh Sainthwar and Nirmala Paswan from BJP, as well as Kirti Kol, who comes from tribal society from SP’s side, had filed nomination papers for the elections to be held on two seats. When the nomination papers started on Tuesday, flaws were found in the nomination of Kirti Kol. It is said that Kirti Kol’s nomination paper has been rejected due to her young age. For the election of a member of the Legislative Council, the minimum age should be 30 years but Samajwadi Party’s Legislative Council candidate Kirti Kol had shown his age as 28 years in the nomination paper. Due to this, it was rejected by the Returning Officer during the scrutiny of nomination papers. With the rejection of Kirti Kol’s nomination, both the BJP candidates Dharmendra Singh and Nirmala Paswan will get elected unopposed.
