Balodabazar: Once again the havoc of high speed was seen in Pangaon of Kotwali police station area of Balodabazar. Two people riding a motorcycle died in a road accident here. An unknown vehicle hit the motorcycle hard. The collision was so severe that both of them died on the spot. According to the police, the deceased have been identified as Ashok Sahu (35 years) and Pushpa Devi Sahu (40 years). Ashok Sahu and Pushpa Devi are residents of Salkhan village of Shivrinarayan police station area of Janjgir-Champa. As soon as information about the incident was received, the traffic police and Kotwali police reached the spot. The dead bodies were taken into custody and sent to the district hospital for post-mortem. Here, the police collected evidence from the spot and recorded the statements of eyewitnesses and started searching for the unknown vehicle.
Accident happened while returning from Raipur
According to the information, Ashok and Pushpa were returning from Raipur to their village Salkhan. During this time, a speeding vehicle hit his motorcycle from behind near Pangaon. The collision was so terrible that both of them did not get a chance to recover. After the accident, the unknown driver fled from the spot.
Speeding and carelessness became the reason
Increasing speed on the road, drunk driving and dangerous driving tendencies are becoming the main reasons behind such accidents. Due to careless drivers, not only their lives but also those of others are put in danger. This incident in Pangaon also highlights the dangers of ignoring traffic rules and driving at high speed. After cases of drivers absconding from the accident site came to light, the police have started searching for the accused driver.
