Bhopal . The employees of Hamidia Hospital in Bhopal, the capital of Madhya Pradesh, may be in for a shock. There may be retrenchment of staff in the hospital. It is being told that more staff are working here than the sanctioned posts. 200 employees may be laid off.

The number of ward boys, lab technicians and housekeeping staff is high in Bhopal’s Hamidia Hospital. This hospital has sanctioned strength of 1400 employees, but around 1600 staff are working here. Additional staff were recruited in the hospital from the Covid fund. Due to excess staff in Hamidia, these outsourced employees are not getting their salaries on time. Due to pay discrepancy, hospital employees have gone on strike twice in a week. In view of this, the idea of reducing staff or other management is now being considered. There may be retrenchment in Hamidia Hospital soon.

More than 500 ward boys of Hamidia Hospital have gone on strike twice in about 15 days for salary. Let us tell you, there are more than 2500 OPD (outpatient department) visits every day in Hamidia Hospital. There are more than 60 operations.
Received Rs 2.5 crore for salary
Gandhi Medical College has made a payment of about Rs 2.5 crore to Agile Company two days ago. After this, about Rs 12 crore is outstanding on GMC. Because of this the company has stopped the salaries of the employees. A payment of Rs 1 crore was made to the company after the employees’ strike two months ago. However, Diwali bonus was not given then. Earlier, these employees had written letters to the company three to four times complaining. In response to the letter, the company had only given assurance.
