Bhopal: Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has said that the tilak of development is being applied on the forehead of Tikamgarh. There will never be a problem of drought in the district again. The country’s first river linking project will change the picture and destiny of not only Tikamgarh but the entire Bundelkhand. The much awaited Ken-Betwa Link National Project will provide irrigation and drinking water facilities on a large scale. Besides, the life of the citizens will be happy due to development in power generation, crop production and tourism sector. Chief Minister Dr. Yadav was addressing the Public Welfare Festival cum Farmers Conference program organized in Jatara tehsil of Tikamgarh district on Sunday.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav performed Bhoomi Pujan and inaugurated 120 development works worth Rs 105 crore 63 lakh for Tikamgarh district. Also, by feeding laddus to the farmers present in the program, they were invited for the Bhoomi Pujan program of Ken-Betwa Link Project to be organized in Khajuraho on 25th December.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav said that the country is moving on the path of progress under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. To realize Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s vision of river linking, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will perform the Bhoomi Pujan of the Ken-Betwa Link Project of national importance on December 25 at Khajuraho in Chhatarpur district. Once the project takes shape, Bundelkhand will become green and prosperous and migration from the region will also stop. The Chief Minister invited the general public to Khajuraho on the occasion of the inauguration of the mega project and made all the attendees take a pledge to attend the Bhoomi Pujan program of the project with folded fists.
Chief Minister Dr. Yadav visited the model of Ken-Betwa Link Project and the exhibition focused on public welfare and development and the stalls set up by various departments at the venue. Women took out Kalash Yatra and welcomed the Chief Minister by showering flowers. Minister of State for Forest and Environment Dilip Ahirwar, MLA Jatara Harishankar Khatik, Amit Nuna, District Panchayat President Smt. Umita Rahul Singh, former minister Rahul Singh, public representatives, beloved sisters and a large number of farmer brothers were present in the program.
