According to the Railway Ministry, the railway line between Katra to Sangaldan has been fully prepared. T-33 tunnel has been made on this section. This tunnel was very challenging. Due to this, it took a lot of time to build its construction. This tunnel has also been tried. Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) investigation has also been done. Therefore, there is no obstacle in running the train. According to the Railway Ministry, there is a possibility that its railway line will be inaugurated at the end of March and the movement of trains will start. With this, devotees going to Mata Vaishno Devi will be able to go to Srinagar by train.

Railways 272 km to connect Kashmir to the rail route from all over the country. Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla railway line (USBRL) has been constructed. The National Project was declared in 2002 in view of the importance of the USBRL project. Which has been the most challenging task done by Indian Railways after independence. The railway line work between Katra and Sangaldan is almost complete. Currently trains run from Kanyakumari to Katra and from Baramulla to Sangaldan in Kashmir Valley. After running the train between Katra to Sangaldan, Kanyakumari rail will be connected by Kashmir. In this way, Kashmir can be reached through any train in the country.

The Kashmir Special Vande Bharat train running between Katra to Srinagar will be completely different from the Vande Bharat trains running in other parts of the country. This special train is designed according to weather and needs. This special train will be able to travel without any hassle even at a temperature -30 ° C temperature. All the coach of this entire train belongs to the chair car, which are divided into a general chair car and executive class chair car. What will be the fare of this train. Railways have not announced any announcement about this. Sources say that the fare for AC chair car on this route can be between Rs 1500 and Rs 1700. While passengers may have to pay between Rs 2400 to Rs 2600 for the Executive Chair Car. As soon as the train is inaugurated on 17 February, the announcement of rent and seats will be started. Or booking is also likely to start a few days before that.
