Vikas lifted 155 kg in the snatch round and 191 kg in the clean and jerk round. In this way he lifted a total of 346 kg to win the silver. Samoa’s Don Opalog was ahead of the development. Opalog lifted 171 kg in snatch round and 210 kg in clean and jerk round. Vikas Thakur of India has won silver medal in weightlifting. He finished second in the men’s 96kg category. Vikas won the country its 12th medal at the Birmingham Commonwealth Games. This is the eighth medal in weightlifting. Vikas lifted 155 kg in the snatch round and 191 kg in the clean and jerk round. In this way, he lifted a total of 346 kg to win the silver. Vikas was ahead of Don Opalog of Samoa. Opalog lifted 171 kg in the snatch round and 210 kg in the clean and jerk round. In this way he lifted a total of 381 kg. With this weight, Opalog also set a Commonwealth Games record.
