Bhopal. Soon four districts will be developed in Madhya Pradesh on the lines of metropolitan cities like Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai. The state government has started working on the plan to convert the state capital Bhopal, the state’s commercial capital Indore, cultural capital Jabalpur and Gwalior into metropolitan cities. In this sequence, preparations for creating Indore Metropolitan Region have also been started. Thousands of square kilometers of area of surrounding districts are being included in Indore metropolis. It is noteworthy that on the instructions of CM Mohan Yadav, the exercise for Indore Metropolitan Region has been started. The district administration has planned to include several villages falling within the municipal corporation limits. Initiatives are being taken for the overall development of 29 surrounding villages under the Indore Metropolitan Region. Tax was increased in these villages, which were included in Indore Municipal Corporation limits about a decade ago, but not much attention was paid to the facilities. Officials are now focusing on these. Lakdak colonies will now be seen in all 29 villages. The drainage system here will be improved, basic infrastructure like roads will be developed and electricity and water facilities will also be provided. Narmada water will be made available for drinking water. These villages are also included in the proposal for Indore Metropolitan Region prepared by Indore District Administration. Many colonies have developed on agricultural land in these villages and big buildings have also been constructed.
Dhar, Ujjain and Dewas also in Indore Metropolitan Region
Along with these villages, parts of Ghar, Ujjain and Dewas districts adjacent to Indore have also been included in the Indore Metropolitan Region. A plan has been made for the overall development of all four districts including Indore as a metropolitan region. According to officials, along with 29 villages of Indore, many villages of Ujjain, Dhar and Dewas have also been included in Indore Metropolitan Region. In the form of Indore Metropolitan Region, a total of 7,863 square km area of all the four districts will be combined and will take the shape of a metropolis. Pithampur, the industrial area of Dhar district, has also been included in the proposed Indore metropolis. By creating a metro city by combining parts of Indore, Ujjain, Dewas and Dhar districts, these four districts will also develop. Employment opportunities for the youth will increase and the economy will be strengthened.
Economy will grow, employment will be available
After converting Bhopal, Indore, Jabalpur and Gwalior into metropolitan cities, the youth of Madhya Pradesh will no longer have to go out of the state for jobs. The state’s economy will also gain momentum soon. This will be possible because now a metro city will be developed in the state on the lines of Delhi-NCR. This is a big gift from CM Dr. Mohan Yadav to the people of the state. This will create employment opportunities for the youth. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav said that with the aim of strengthening the economy of Madhya Pradesh and promoting commercial as well as business activities, a metro city will be developed in the state. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that Metro City will be built by combining parts of four districts. These districts will include some parts of Indore, Ujjain, Dewas and Dhar districts. Indore, Ujjain, Dewas and Dhar, all four districts are industrial areas of the state. In such a situation, by combining parts of these four districts and making a metro city, the traders will benefit a lot and the economy will gain momentum. CM Dr. Mohan Yadav said that on the lines of these four districts, metropolitan cities like Bhopal, Gwalior and Jabalpur will also be developed, so that business activities can be promoted in the state.
