DGP Priyadarshi said that cyber criminals are using social media platforms like WhatsApp, Instagram, Telegram, Facebook etc. or through messages to send greetings and gifts on the upcoming Christmas and New Year and to upload KYC and other documents in the name of making a new version of PAN card. They will try to commit cyber fraud by sending a link in this regard or by pretending to download the APK file. Priyadarshi said that this type of link may contain malware. By clicking on this link, your device gets infected with malware, due to which the consumer can become a victim of any kind of cyber fraud.
