This year, from January 1 to December 13, the temple committee has received an amount of Rs 112 crore 31 lakh 85 thousand 988 from various sources. This donation of devotees has set a new record this year.
Donations have increased this year
According to the Ujjain Mahakal Temple Administration, there has been an increase in income from early darshan tickets and Bhasma Aarti booking in the year 2024. Along with this, the amount of donations to Annakshetra has also increased compared to last year. Other income of Mahakal Darbar has also doubled. The temple administration said that there are a few days left in the month of December, and including whatever income will be generated during this period, the total income of this year will be more than last year.
Sales quantity of Laddu Prasad is not included
The temple administration has presented this year’s income figures, which do not include the amount received from the sale of laddu prasad. The administration says that Laddu Prasad is sold at cost price, so it cannot be counted as income.
Last year, from January 1 to December 31, 2023, the temple committee had a total income of Rs 14 crore 58 lakh 4 thousand 675, whereas in the year 2024, from January 1 to December 13, this amount has reached Rs 112 crore 31 lakh 85 thousand 988. . The temple administration also informed that from January to July in the year 2023, there was a provision for entry into the sanctum sanctorum on protocol darshan of Rs 750 and water offering receipt of Rs 1500, which generated an income of about Rs 21 crore in six months. However, entry of devotees into the sanctum sanctorum was closed from August 2023, leading to a negative impact on income in 2024.

The number of devotees in Ujjain Mahakal Temple is continuously increasing. Along with this increasing number of devotees, the income received by the temple from various sources is also increasing. There has been a significant increase in income this year compared to last year. According to the temple committee, the facilities will be further expanded in the future.
