Jaipur . Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has given instructions to fix black spots by running a special campaign to reduce road accidents in the state. He said that accident prone places on the roads should be identified and improved immediately so that loss of life and property due to vehicle accidents can be prevented.
The Chief Minister has instructed the officials of the Public Works Department that during the campaign, full attention should be paid to the quality of the works and the works should be completed within the stipulated time. Work is being done to improve black spots in the state at a cost of about Rs 2350 crore so that accidents can be reduced. He has directed that strict action will be taken against those who do not follow the prescribed standards in road construction and repair work. Go. It is noteworthy that 40 black spots have been identified by NHAI in the state and work is being done to improve them at a cost of Rs 812.64 crore, out of which work on 13 has been completed and the remaining is under process. Similarly, NHAI is also going to start the work of improving 37 other identified black spots in the state soon at a cost of Rs 821.51 crore. It is noteworthy that in the state, NH with the Public Works Department is repairing 176 black spots at a cost of about Rs 650 crore. Improvement work is being done. Similarly, 117 black spots identified by the Public Works Department will be rectified by March 31, 2025. The work of improvement of 30 black spots identified by Rajasthan State Highway Authority is also being done at a cost of Rs 21.72 crore, which will be completed by next January. Apart from this, improvement works are being done on 4 roads at a cost of Rs 20.34 crore from the point of view of road safety.
