Bilaspur. The Urban Administration and Development Department has released Rs 55 crore 58 lakh for the uninterrupted and smooth operation of health services in the cities. After the approval of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Administration Minister Arun Sao, the State Urban Development Agency (SHA) has today released a total of Rs 55 crore 58 lakh to the District Urban Public Service Societies formed in all the districts for the operation of mobile medical units in the urban bodies. . These include payment for services till December 2024 as well as advance payment till March 2025. With this, urban people will be able to get uninterrupted health services under the Chief Minister Slum Health Assistance Scheme.
Deputy Chief Minister Arun Sao said that continuous efforts are being made by the government to make the schemes related to urban health facilities more effective. In this series, today a huge amount has been released for providing proper health facilities to the families living in urban areas, especially in slums, at their locality and for the smooth and uninterrupted operation of the Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme till March 2025. He said that under the Chief Minister Slum Health Scheme, more than 27 lakh patients have been treated free of cost by organizing more than 40 thousand health camps in various urban bodies of the state in the last one year. Besides, free medicines have been provided to more than 24 lakh patients and free lab test facilities have been provided to 8 lakh patients.
More than 1.75 lakh women treated in Dai-Didi clinics in a year
Under the Chief Minister Slum Health Assistance Scheme, more than one lakh 75 thousand women have been treated in the last one year in the Chief Minister Dai-Didi Clinic Scheme. Under the scheme, 2995 camps have been organized in a year by teams of women doctors, women pharmacists, women lab technicians, ANMs and women drivers in urban bodies. Along with the treatment of nearly two lakh women in Dai Didi Clinics, more than 1 lakh 62 thousand women have got the benefit of free medicines and more than 49 thousand women have got the benefit of free lab tests. Health care of women and children is being taken care of on priority through the scheme.
